Thursday May 7th, 2026 | 2:30pm – 4:00pm

ART IN GOOD COMPANY is our brand new Drop‑In Art‑making program for seniors. Join us every other Thursday from 2:30–4:00pm for creative sessions inspired by our current gallery exhibition. Expect hands‑on projects, light art‑history moments, and the occasional guest artist — all in a warm, social setting where you can relax, experiment, and enjoy making art together.

We will be looking at the work of Alex Gibson, 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘎𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦, which they made in response to Jack Shadbolt’s 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘎𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 (1973-1983/89), drawing on the garden as a transitional space between interior and exterior, private and public. Gardens are also a place of rest, a sanctuary, where things are nourished and protected.

On this Thursday’s Art in Good Company, we will be using paper collage and strips of mylar to make a garden sanctuary and thoughts on what is protected and private, and what is shown.

Art In Good Company is FREE – No registration required. Donations are welcome.

Thursday, April 23 – Art in Good Company 2:30-3:30 PM

ART IN GOOD COMPANY is our brand new Drop‑In Art‑making program for seniors. Join us every other Thursday from 2:30–4:00pm for creative sessions inspired by our current gallery exhibition. Expect hands‑on projects, light art‑history moments, and the occasional guest artist — all in a warm, social setting where you can relax, experiment, and enjoy making art together.

Our first program on April 23rd will be a special session where we will begin with an art activity inspired by a work by Gordon Smith titled, Tangled Beach, currently in the exhibition One Hundred Artists Deep. Then at 3:30pm, this will be followed by a tour from the exhibition curator, Andrea Valentine-Lewis.

We hope you can join us! Friends and family are welcome.
