Endowment

The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists established a permanent endowment fund whose increasing annual revenues ensure the success and viability of Artists for Kids and their programs and support the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art in perpetuity. The Vancouver Foundation, Canada’s largest community foundation, manages our endowment.

Annual Giving

Our annual campaign raises funds from the community-at-large and is in its sixth year. Each year it grows as we work to develop lasting and meaningful relationships with each of our donors.

Spring Luncheon and Art Auction

It all started as a lunch with Gordon and his friends! Fifteen years later, this elegant garden party, most recently emceed by “Queen of Talk” Vicki Gabereau and Guest Auctioneer Barry Scott, continues to sell out and raise much needed funds for the Smith Foundation. Held at the Capilano Golf and Country Club, it is a warm and welcoming afternoon which continues to inspire.

1 Off the Wall: A Fundraiser with a Twist

Each year, fifteen of Vancouver’s most respected collectors donate an original work to the Smith Foundation. These works are then sold at a by-invitation-only auction held at Hawksworth Restaurant’s York Room at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. All funds raised are directed to the Smith Foundation in support of its ongoing efforts to enhance art education in our community.
