ART IN GOOD COMPANY
Art in Good Company is a drop-in program for seniors at the Smith where we can chat about and make art in a friendly, social environment. The art activities are inspired by the current exhibition in the gallery.
The program runs on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, from 2:30-4:00 PM. Our next session is on Thursday, June 18, and will be the last one before the gallery closes for the summer.
This week’s activity is inspired by the work of Haida artist Corey Bulpitt, whose artwork Untitled references a painted drum from the artist Bill Reid. Learn about Northwest Coast design elements and then use these forms to create a nature-inspired artwork using paper collage. We hope to see you on the 18th!
